Solidarity versus Objectivity

The distinctive feature of post philosophical pragmatism is probably the substitution of objectivity for a more democratic term: solidarity.

From this particular point of view, philosophy can no longer claim to be the mother of all sciences, one which holds and deploys the one and only valid vocabulary. Our understanding of what constitutes valid knowledge from an epistemological point of view broadens its horizons to different and various forms of what has been called "cultural criticism" which transforms philosophy into simply another discipline among the rest of them. One which is historically and context biased as any other branch of human behaviour.

Pluralism and secularization therefore represent the keys which will close the chapter of metaphysics, epistemology and foundationalism.

In this vast and uncertain field, the multiplicity of realities and approaches to the social realm, every theory seems to be affected by relativity and it sure is. That might be the way to go if we are to question our realities in pursuit of a better future.
